What it’s like
Darts, pool, snooker and a basketball machine under one roof, with under-18s allowed until 9pm.
Darts, pool, foosball, snooker and a basketball machine, all in one games hall you can just walk into. There's no booking needed if you fancy turning up and playing, though you can call ahead to reserve a table or an oche if you want to be sure of a spot. It's the sort of place a competitive family sorts itself out by table rather than by age, which is half the fun of it.
The catch for families is the 9pm cut-off: under-18s have to leave by then unless they're entered in a competition, so this is really a daytime-into-evening visit rather than a late one. The bar and hot food menu run long hours though, from midday until 11pm most nights and midnight on Thursdays to Saturdays, so there's time to make an afternoon of it with food part way through.
It's five minutes from the bus station and sits next to Lidl, which makes it an easy stop if you're already in town. Dogs are welcome, there's wifi if someone needs to sit one out and check their phone, and the place is wheelchair accessible. Mondays come with £5 off, which is worth building a visit around if you can.
