What it’s like
A big outdoor park where kids toboggan down a hillside, climb through Jungle Heights and get chased round by free-roaming peacocks.
This is an outdoor park built around doing rather than watching, so trainers on and coats for the wind coming off the hill. The toboggan run is the one they'll talk about on the way home, a proper hillside slide with its own pricing quirks (more on that below). Beyond it there's Jungle Heights for the climbers, Tunnel Quest for the ones who like squeezing through underground tunnels, and a Canopy Sky Walk if you fancy looking down on the lot of it. Younger children get Botswana Play Area, Whispering Woods playground and the giant bounce pillows, plus Digger School if yours are the sort who'd rather move earth than climb it.
Save the toboggan for later in the visit, it opens at 11am and shuts for lunch in quieter months, so don't march straight there off the car park. It's not free once you're in either: under-3s can't ride at all, 3 to 7s go for £1 a ride but need a paying adult alongside them at £2, and 8 and overs ride solo for £2. Fine for one go, it adds up if they want three or four.
There's an indoor ice rink and a maze for a change of pace, crazy golf if you want twenty quiet minutes, and falconry displays if the timing works out. Eight cafés are dotted round the site doing goujons, paninis, poke bowls and churros, with gluten-free and vegan options, so you're not stuck eating one soggy sandwich by the entrance. Parking's free, dogs are welcome, and there's a free carer ticket for anyone who qualifies. Do watch for the peacocks, they roam free and have absolutely no concept of personal space.
Some of the physical stuff is properly vigorous and the park can refuse entry to certain rides on the day. Wet weather isn't mentioned as a closure risk but paths are gravel and grass in places, worth bearing in mind if you're pushing a buggy after rain.

How much does it cost to get in?
Entry pricing isn't broken down beyond the toboggan run, which is £1 to £2 a ride depending on age. A return visit within 7 days is £1.99.
Can toddlers ride the toboggan?
No under-3s at all. From 3 to 7 they ride for £1 with a paying adult of 14 or over alongside them at £2, and the younger child sits in front.
What about kids aged 8 and up?
They ride the toboggan solo for £2 a go, no adult needed.
Is parking free?
Parking on site is free.
Is there anywhere to eat?
Eight cafés across the park serving goujons, paninis, poke bowls, churros and shakes, with gluten-free and vegan options.
Do you need to book ahead?
There's no booking link listed, so it looks like you can just turn up during opening hours.
Are dogs allowed?
It's a dog friendly park.
Is it accessible for wheelchair users?
There's no wheelchair or mobility scooter hire on site, but two manual wheelchairs can go on the Big Red Tractor train, which has ramps. Some paths are gravel or grass, so scooter users need to be confident on rougher ground.
Can carers get in free?
A free carer ticket is available for guests who need significant, disability-related support beyond what family or friends could reasonably provide, letting one extra person in free (or two with the right Access Card symbol).
Do you do birthday parties?
Birthday parties and corporate events are available with tailored packages.
When does the toboggan run operate?
It opens from 11am daily, with the last ride 30 minutes before the park closes. In quieter months it shuts over lunch, roughly 12.30 to 1pm.
Are there any seasonal events?
There's a Dark Woods Outdoor Cinema, a Spooktacular, a Fright Night Fancy Dress Ball in late October, and an Illuminate light trail running from December into the New Year.
