What it’s like

Group classes and one-to-one lessons in everything from ballroom and Latin to street and freestyle, pay as you go with no membership.

This is a proper dance school setup rather than a drop-in soft play sort of thing, though the age range starts right down at nought, so there's clearly something for the very young as well as adults. The list of styles is long: waltz, tango, quickstep and foxtrot on the ballroom side, cha cha, samba, rumba and jive for Latin, plus salsa, swing, mambo and Argentine tango if you fancy something with a bit more flair. Street and freestyle classes are in there too, alongside classical and modern sequence dancing.

Children's classes run at £4.50, though the price shifts depending on how long the class runs, and adult classes are £8. If you'd rather have focused attention, a 30-minute private lesson is £20 for either an adult or a child, and if a few adults want to share a lesson it drops to £10 a head, or £20 total, whichever works out higher. That sharing option is worth flagging to any friends thinking about learning together, since splitting the cost makes the private lesson far more reasonable than going it alone.

There's no membership fee here, everything is pay as you go, which takes the pressure off committing to a term you might not finish. Parking is free on-site too, which is one less thing to think about on the way in.
