What it’s like
Pole fitness, aerial hoop and bungee fit classes for kids from 4 and adults, in a studio near Nottingham city centre.
Bare feet, no jewellery, and a pole to climb: this is a proper skills class rather than a soft play session. Kids from 4 up to 14 get their own pole fitness, aerial hoop and BungeeFit classes, building actual strength and coordination rather than just messing about, and the site is upfront that beginners tend to come away with some bruising and sore muscles. That's not a warning to skip it, it's just what learning to grip a pole does to you, and it seems to be treated as part of the deal rather than hidden away.
Rings and other jewellery have to come off before you start, since they scratch the poles, and they recommend skipping moisturiser for a day beforehand too, because slippery skin and pole grip do not mix. It's a small faff to remember, but worth getting right before you turn up rather than finding out at the door.
Adult classes run for over-14s, with under-18s needing a waiver signed first if they're joining an adult session rather than the kids' one. The studio sits close to Nottingham city centre and is easy to reach by tram, bus or on foot, and if you'd rather drive there's free on-site parking as well as free street parking on Hooton Street, Key Street and Windmill Lane.

What age can kids start?
Kids classes run from 4 to 14. Adult classes are for over-14s, and under-18s need to sign a waiver to join those.
What should we wear or bring?
No shoes, unless it's a specific shoe-based session, and no jewellery, especially rings, since they scratch the poles. Best to skip moisturising for a day before a pole class too, as it makes gripping harder.
Is it normal to come away sore?
Bruising and soreness are common, especially for beginners learning to grip the pole. It settles as you build technique and strength.
Is there parking?
Free on-site parking, plus free street parking on Hooton Street, Key Street and Windmill Lane nearby.
