What it’s like
A pay-as-you-go park of little rides, a narrow-gauge railway and splash pads, all pay-per-go rather than one ticket price.
This is a park built for small legs and short attention spans. There's a proper adventure playground, a narrow-gauge railway called the Pickie Puffer that trundles round the site, and a clutch of gentle rides: Disco Ducks, Swans, Super Cruisers, the sort of thing a three-year-old finds thrilling and you find £2 to £5.50 a go, since everything here is priced separately rather than one entry fee.
In summer the splash pads and Water Walkers come into their own, and there's an Aqua Blaster water game and Hook a Duck for the bit between rides. Pickie Golf works out at £12 for two adults and two children, which is one of the few things here priced as a family deal rather than per person. Under-120cm riders need an adult with them on the attractions, and if you've got an infant under 18 months you'll want your own sling, as they don't provide one.
Ages 3 to 10 is where this sits best; the rides and playground are scaled for that age and a teenager will run out of things to do fairly fast. Ticket sales for the attractions stop earlier than the café closes, and it's worth knowing that opening hours shift a lot by season, stretching to 7:30pm ticket sales in June to August but cutting right back over autumn and winter, when there are no attractions running at all on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.
Parking on Queen's Parade is free but limited, and it fills up. Food-wise there's the Candy Shack for ice creams and the Pickie Café for something more like lunch, and the whole site is wheelchair accessible, café included, though seating around the park is limited.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
There's no single entry ticket, you pay per ride or activity. Prices range from £1 for the Aqua Blaster up to £5.50 for the Swans, and Pickie Golf is £12 for two adults and two children.
Do we need to book?
Booking is required and there's a booking link on their site, so it's worth sorting before you turn up rather than on the day.
What age is it best for?
The site lists ages 3 to 10, and that tracks, the rides and playground are pitched at younger kids rather than teens.
Is there parking?
Free parking at Queen's Parade, but spaces are limited and there are only a few disabled bays nearby via Marine Gardens.
What about food?
Candy Shack does ice cream and drinks, and Pickie Café covers proper lunch.
Is it open all year?
The café runs year round, but attraction ticket sales stop earlier in winter, 3pm from October to March compared with up to 5pm in summer. There are no attractions at all on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays between October and March.
Are the splash pads open all the time?
No, the splash pads, Aqua Blaster, Hook a Duck and Water Walkers are seasonal, with Water Walkers running April to August.
Is it OK for a toddler?
There's an adventure playground and gentle rides suited to younger children, but anyone under 120cm needs an adult with them on the rides. If you've got a baby under 18 months you'll need to bring your own sling.
Is it wheelchair accessible?
The whole park is described as fully accessible, including the café, though seating around the site is limited.
Can we bring the dog?
Pets aren't allowed on the attractions.
Do you still use tokens?
Tokens are being phased out from 31 July 2025, so check how you're expected to pay for rides after that date.
