What it’s like
A West End theatre show for £25 a ticket, though under-15s need an adult with them and under-5s can't come in at all.
Tickets are £25 and you'll need to book ahead rather than turn up on the night. The theatre itself opens an hour before the performance starts, so there's no long wait around in the foyer, and general doors are open from 11am most days if you want to sort tickets or grab something from the café earlier in the day.
The age rules here are worth knowing before you commit. Under-5s aren't allowed in at all, and anyone under 15 has to be with an adult, so this isn't one for a family trip with a younger sibling in tow. It sits better as a night out for a child of 8 or older who can sit through a full show, rather than a quick afternoon activity.
Access is properly thought through. There are wheelchair spaces in the Stalls with a side door entrance, staff on hand to help get to the bars, and a fully adapted unisex toilet. Assistance dogs are welcome, and there's even a dog sitting service for two dogs if you need to leave them somewhere while you're inside, which is a nice touch you don't see everywhere.
At £25 a ticket it's not a cheap spontaneous outing, and with the accompaniment rule for under-15s you're committing an adult to the whole show rather than dropping the kids off. Build the evening around the performance time rather than around the building's daily opening hours.
