What it’s like

Military-style outdoor bootcamp sessions with scramble nets and tug of war, plus birthday parties for 6 and up.

This is an outdoor bootcamp setup, not a playground, so the kids are doing proper drills: scramble nets, tug of war, crawling under camouflage nets, team relays. It's built for 6 and up, and it reads as a lot more physical than your average kids' activity, which is either exactly what a restless nine-year-old needs or a bit much for a first go. Either way, the first session is free with no obligation, so you can find out which camp you're in before committing to anything.

If you do sign up, it's membership only. There's no pay-as-you-go option and no cash accepted, which feels like an odd rule for a kids' activity but there it is. One session a week at a single park runs £28 a month, unlimited sessions across any park is £37, or you can buy a card for 5 sessions at £50 if you'd rather not commit monthly. Whichever you pick, you're locked in for a minimum of two calendar months before you can cancel.

Birthday parties are the other side of this, and they lean into the military theme properly: scramble nets and team games for up to 14 children, medals and a team photo at the end. £250 without food or £350 with it, which puts it at the pricier end for a party but you're getting an instructor-run outdoor session rather than a room and a bouncy castle.
