What it’s like
A local library with toilets, wifi and step-free access, open six days a week including two late nights.
This is one for a rainy Tuesday when you need somewhere warm and free-ish to park yourselves for half an hour. There's wifi if you need to sort something out on your phone while the kids browse, and toilets on site, which matters more than anything else on this list if you've got a small one who's just been potty trained.
It's wheelchair accessible, so a buggy isn't going to be a problem getting in and around. Opening hours are decent for a place like this: it's open every day except Sunday, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays it stays open till 7pm, which is handy if the school run leaves you nowhere else to go. The rest of the week it shuts at 5, and Saturday's a short one, 10 till 1, so don't turn up at half one expecting to get in.
