What it’s like
Hands-on animal time with rabbits, guinea pigs, lambs and even a reindeer, plus alpaca walks if you book ahead.
This is a small farm built around getting close to the animals rather than watching them from a fence. Kids hold and pet rabbits and guinea pigs, feed the farm animals, cuddle lambs and there's a resident reindeer called Sven who gets a stroke too. It's all hands-on, so a two-year-old who wants to touch everything is well catered for, though a bag of feed and a wriggly toddler is a two-adult job.
Alpaca walking is the bit to save for last if your child is old enough. It's £20 for one adult, £26 for an adult and child together, and general admission into the rest of the farm is bundled into that price, so you're not paying twice. Standard entry is £6 a person, which is fair for the amount of animal contact on offer.
Bookings are required, no turning up on spec, so ring ahead before you plan the day around it. Birthday parties run in three tiers from £8.95 to £17.95 a child, minimum ten kids, and all of them get an hour with the animals plus an hour in the classroom party room. You bring your own buffet and drinks, which keeps the cost down but means one more thing on your list before you leave the house.
There's indoor seating and toilets on site, and carers get in free with proof of Carers Allowance or the equivalent. Card and cash are both taken.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
General admission is £6 a person. Alpaca walks are extra: £20 for one adult, £26 for an adult and child, £30 for two adults.
Do we need to book?
Bookings are required, it's not a walk-in farm. That goes for general visits as well as the alpaca walks.
What can the kids actually do there?
Hold and pet rabbits and guinea pigs, feed the farm animals, cuddle lambs and pet Sven the reindeer. There are also animal handling and farm learning sessions.
Is it OK for a toddler?
The farm lists a minimum age of 2, and the animal handling is gentle enough for small hands with an adult close by.
Can we do a birthday party there?
Yes, three packages from £8.95 to £17.95 per child, minimum 10 children. Each includes an hour with the animals, an hour in the party room, and a bag of feed per child. You bring your own buffet and drinks.
What's included in the alpaca walk price?
It covers general admission to see the rest of the farm animals too, so it's not an extra ticket on top.
Is there anywhere to sit and eat?
There's indoor seating on site and toilets, useful if the weather turns.
Do carers get any discount?
A free carer ticket is available with proof of Carers Allowance or equivalent.
