What it’s like
A parent and toddler group session for under-threes, with a hot drink from the vending machine while you watch them play.
This one's a straightforward baby and toddler group, aimed squarely at under-threes and the grown-up who's brought them along. It's a session where you stay with your child rather than drop them off, so it suits the age when they still want you within arm's reach anyway.
Booking is required, which is worth knowing before you plan your morning around it. Turn up without sorting that first and you may find you've had a wasted trip.
There's a coffee vending machine on site doing tea, coffee and hot chocolate at £1.50 a cup, which is a small mercy when you've been up since half five with a toddler. It won't be winning any barista awards but it does the job while you sit and let the little one get on with playing.
Given the age cap of three, this isn't one to save for when they've started school. It's squarely for the baby and very early toddler years, the stage where a change of room and a few other small humans to look at counts as a big outing.
