What it’s like
Free-play sessions in the woods with clay to dig into and a fire circle to gather round.
Days here are unstructured on purpose. Kids explore the forest at their own pace, get their hands into clay, and spend time around the fire, which is usually the bit they talk about afterwards. There's no set activity sheet to work through, so a one-year-old pottering about and a twelve-year-old building something elaborate can both have a good time on the same visit.
The age range is wide, one to twelve, which tells you this is built around free exploration rather than an activity pitched at a single age group. Younger ones will stick closer to the clay and the fire circle with an adult nearby, older kids tend to range further into the trees. Either way, it's a slower sort of day than most, and worth going into without a fixed idea of what you'll do when you get there.
Birthday parties are also on offer, with four themed packages and three hours of private access to the site. Decorations and resources are provided, though the fires stay unlit for parties, understandably, given the extra numbers running about.
