What it’s like

A toddler kart track and slides on one side, a big adventure frame with rope bridge and dizzy discs on the other, for babies up to age 11.

There are two distinct zones here, which is handy if you've got a toddler and a seven-year-old refusing to be in the same postcode. The toddler area has a kart track, slides and a mini round-about, sized for the smaller ones who'd get flattened on the main frame. That main frame is the one they'll talk about after, a proper adventure structure with slides, a rope bridge and dizzy discs to spin themselves silly on.

Pricing is banded by age rather than one flat fee, which is fair enough but means you're doing sums at the till. Under 14 months gets in for £1.50, toddlers aged 2 to 3 are £6.50, and juniors from 4 up pay £7.50. Parents go in for £1, so it's not a spectator sport you pay full whack to watch. Sessions run 90 minutes, and if you're around on a weekday in term time there's a cheaper Parent & Toddler session from 10am to 11:45am at £4.50.

Socks have to stay on at all times on the equipment, and long sleeves are required with trousers recommended on the play frame, so shorts and vest-top weather doesn't get you off the hook. There's a café on site doing a kids' menu, and birthday parties get their own themed rooms with food and party bags built into the £12.95 per child price. Collect nine loyalty stamps and the tenth visit is free, which is the sort of thing you only remember exists after you've paid full price eight times.

Is it any good for a toddler?

There's a separate toddler area with a kart track, slides and a mini round-about, away from the bigger adventure frame.

What age is the big frame for?

The adventure frame with the rope bridge and dizzy discs suits the older end, up to 11.

Is there a cheaper option for weekday mornings?

Parent & Toddler sessions run Monday to Friday in term time, 10am to 11:45am, at £4.50.

Do we need to book?

Can we do a birthday party there?

Yes, £12.95 per child gets you a 2 hour party with play, food and a party bag, plus themed party rooms.
