What it’s like

Soft play frames with slides, spinning pads and a zip line for two-hour sessions, best booked ahead.

The frames are the main event here: slides, spinning pads and a zip line to keep an eight-year-old busy, plus ball pits for the smaller ones. There's a 145cm height limit, so this is really one for the under-elevens rather than a spot your older sibling can tag along to on the equipment itself, though they say adults are welcome to sit and watch or help out on the floor.

You get 120 minutes a session, and they're upfront that adults can't go down the slides or into the ball pits, which is fair enough for safety but might disappoint a parent who fancied a go. Sessions run every day from 10am, with last entry at 3.30pm, and it's £8.95 a child on weekdays or £9.95 at weekends and during school holidays, with extra adults at £2 each.

Booking ahead is strongly recommended rather than optional in practice: they'll fit you in on the day if there's room, but at busy times a walk-up gets turned away, so it's worth sorting your slot before you set off. There's a café on site and it's the only source of food allowed in, aside from baby food, so don't turn up with a packed lunch expecting to eat it there.

If it's a birthday you're planning, parties run for two hours with a party room, a food platter, unlimited juice and a host thrown in, starting at £13.95 a child on weekdays and £15.95 at weekends, with a minimum of eight children. Outside entertainers aren't allowed at parties because of insurance, so whatever you're planning for the day has to work within what the venue itself offers.

Plan your visit

How much does it cost?

£8.95 a child Monday to Friday, £9.95 at weekends and during school holidays. Extra adults are £2 each.

Do we need to book?

Booking ahead is strongly recommended. If they've got space on the day they'll let you in at reception, but at capacity walk-ups get turned away.

How long is a session?

Two hours. If you want longer you have to book a second session.

Is there a height limit?

Yes, the maximum height for entry is 145cm.

Can I bring my own food?

Only baby food is allowed in from outside. Everything else needs to come from the café on site.

Can I go on the slides with my child?

You're welcome to spend time with them on the floor, but adults aren't allowed in the ball pits or on the slides, spinning pads or zip line.

Can my older child watch their younger sibling on their own?

This is an adult supervision centre, so any child young enough to need help on the equipment needs an adult with them.

Do you do birthday parties?
