What it’s like

A soft play café built for under-fives, with a bespoke adventure frame, slides and ride-on toys, plus coffee for you.

This one's aimed squarely at the small end of soft play. There's a bespoke adventure play frame with slides for the bolder toddlers, ride-on toys to fight over, and a role play area and sensory wall for the ones who'd rather potter than climb. Babies get their own comfy area away from the bigger frame, so a six-month-old and a four-year-old can both have a decent time without one flattening the other.

Pricing is broken down by age in a way that actually makes sense once you see it. Under 6 months go free, it's £2.75 up to a year, £5 for one to two-year-olds, and £6.25 from two up. Kids nine and over pay just £1.75, which suggests this is somewhere older siblings tag along rather than the main event for them. Adults are £2.75, and there's £1 off after 1.30pm on weekdays in term time if you can time a visit for the quieter part of the day.

It's turn-up-and-pay, no booking needed, though wristbands go on during busy periods and there's a two-hour limit when it's full, so don't plan on camping out all afternoon on a Saturday. The café does light lunches, snacks and drinks, and parking is nearest at Swan Walk shopping centre rather than on site. Bring socks, they're not supplied.

Birthday parties are a proper option here too. The Forest Friends party runs at £17 a child for groups of 11 to 20, or you can take exclusive use of the whole place on a Sunday for £380 for up to 20 children under the Go Wild hire.
