What it’s like
A pub with big screens for the sport, a beer garden, £1 quiz nights on Mondays and a £32 bottomless brunch you have to book ahead.
It's a pub, so the draw is the big HD screens for live sport, and Monday quiz nights at a pound a head, which is about as cheap as an evening out gets. Sunday is karaoke, Thursday to Saturday they run party nights. The beer garden is the bit to save for a warm afternoon when the football's not on.
Food runs 12pm to 9pm every day, and there's a free soft drink with selected mains, which softens the bill if you're driving or not drinking. Two meals and two drinks comes in at £16, though that deal only runs Monday to Thursday. The Bomb Bundle for two is £6 if you just want something to pick at while you watch the game.
The bottomless brunch is the big ticket at £32 a person and you get two hours of food and unlimited drinks, with non-alcoholic versions if you'd rather. It has to be pre-booked. Upgrading a drink to something alcoholic or a Red Bull is £1.50 on top.
Tables can be booked online or by phone, and some bookings need a deposit that comes off the final bill. Worth knowing if you're sorting a group: if you're coming for a specific fixture, book it under Live Sport rather than a standard table. Kitchen's open daily including Sunday, and they take Christmas and Boxing Day bookings.
