What it’s like

A proper local stage for a Halloween disco party or the Cinderella panto, with tickets from £12.

This is the kind of small town theatre where the Halloween Party comes with a disco and party games rather than just a show to sit through, and Cinderella gets the full panto treatment. Under-twos go free on a parent's lap, so you don't need to buy a ticket for a baby who's just there for the ride.

Tickets start at £12 for the Halloween party, though book online or by phone and you'll pick up a £2 processing fee per ticket on top, plus a £1.50 restoration fee added to the booking. It stings a bit for what's essentially a family theatre trip, but the box office does take bookings in person if you'd rather dodge the extra charges, open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings.

Once you've paid, that's it. There are no refunds or exchanges, only a resale if the show's sold out. Worth downloading tickets before you set off too, since there's no public wifi at the theatre and phone signal can be patchy inside.

Access is properly thought through: seven blue badge spaces right outside the foyer and four wheelchair spaces in the auditorium, both pre-bookable through the box office. One thing to flag if you've got a grandparent coming along with a zimmer frame though, they have to leave it in the foyer and use a stick or crutches once seated instead.

Plan your visit

How much are tickets?

The Halloween Party is £12 standard. Book online or by phone and there's a £2 per ticket processing fee, plus a £1.50 restoration fee per booking.

Do we need to book for a toddler?

Under-twos sit on a parent's or grandparent's lap for free, no ticket needed. Anyone older needs their own ticket.

Can we get a refund if plans change?

No refunds or exchanges once you've paid, only a resale if the show sells out. If a show's postponed they'll move your tickets to the new date, or refund you if that doesn't work for you.

Is there parking for a blue badge?

Seven blue badge spaces sit directly outside the foyer, but you need to pre-book them through the box office rather than just turning up.

What if someone in our group uses a wheelchair or a walking frame?

There are four wheelchair spaces in the auditorium, bookable in advance. Zimmer and walking frames have to stay in the foyer, though sticks and crutches are fine once you're seated.

Can our child come alone or with older siblings only?

Under-sixteens need to be with an adult. Sixteen is the minimum age to attend unaccompanied.
