What it’s like
Pick a medium, acrylics, linocut, watercolour or soft pastels, and spend a two hour session getting properly stuck into it.
These are one day workshops built around a single technique: acrylics one session, linocut printing another, then watercolour or soft pastels depending on what's booked in. You turn up, pick your medium, and work through it in a two hour class rather than a quick taster.
Classes run on Mondays and Thursdays, which narrows your options if a weekend's easier for you, but it does mean the sessions stay small and focused rather than rushed. There are group demonstrations and workshops if you want to learn alongside other people, or one-to-one options if you'd rather have the tutor's full attention on your linocut rather than sharing it round a table.
There's food on site, so you're not having to plan around going hungry mid-session. Two hours is enough to actually finish something rather than just start it, which is the point of picking a proper class over a drop-in session.
