What it’s like
Singing, dance and acting classes for 3 to 8 year olds, with a £7.50 trial class before you commit to the term.
A £7.50 trial class is the easy way in here. Your child joins a session in their age group, and if it lands, you sign up for the term. The Minis group (3 to 5) does singing, dancing and drama in one class, so it's a taster of all three rather than a term of one. Juniors (6 to 8) get short routines, simple acting scenes and group songs.
There's ballet and street dance as separate classes as well, so if your six-year-old has already decided they only want to dance, that's covered. Adults aren't left out either: ballet, tap and street dance for complete beginners, or for anyone going back after years away.
The performance side is the bit they'll remember. Every other year there's a big show at Watford Palace Theatre in July, and a pantomime every year, with smaller performances at school fayres and care homes in between. Summer drop-ins and the occasional school holiday workshop run too, plus a Summer School with two options.
Two things to know before you sign anything. Payment is termly to secure your place, and there's a compulsory uniform, which adds to the £7.50 you see first. Check the timetable and term dates before booking, since classes are booked rather than turned up to.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost to start?
A trial class is £7.50, so you can see whether your child takes to it. After that you pay termly to hold your place.
Do we need to book?
Booking's required, and it's done through the online booking system. That goes for the trial class too.
What ages are the classes for?
Minis are 3 to 5 and Juniors are 6 to 8. Classes run up to adults as well, so there's ballet, tap and street dance if you fancy joining in yourself.
My child has never danced before. Can they still join?
Beginners are welcome at any age, and the classes are built to be supportive rather than selective. Plenty of children start with the trial and nothing behind them.
Will they get to perform?
Yes, and fairly often. There's a pantomime every year and a big show at Watford Palace Theatre every other July, plus performances at school fayres and care homes.
Is there anything on in the holidays?
Summer drop-ins and occasional school holiday workshops run, and there's a Summer School with two different options. Dates go up on the website and social media.
What else do we need to pay for?
Uniform is compulsory, so budget for that on top of the termly fee. Have a look at the timetable and term dates before you commit.
