What it’s like
Free entry to a seaside arcade with pirate rides, ghost train and enough 2p pushers to eat a fiver in coppers.
Getting in costs nothing, which is the whole point of a place like this. You wander in, grab a Play Card at one of the terminals, tap it on whatever catches your eye and top up credit as you go rather than fumbling for coins all day. There's a proper spread of ticket games, shooting hoops, whack-a-mole, zombie shooters, plus the classic 2p pushers that never actually pay out but somehow you keep feeding them anyway.
The rides are the bit smaller kids will remember longest. Pirate Flyer and the Ghost Train have no minimum age, though the site is upfront that the Ghost Train might spook the little ones, and an adult needs to be within reach at all times whatever age they are. Sky Rider and Camel Derby round out the ride side, and everything feeds into a prize shop at the end where tickets never expire, so a half-hearted haul from a rainy Tuesday can still be cashed in months later.
Food's not an afterthought here. There's a proper street food market, a chippy doing dine-in at takeaway prices, ribs and burgers, and a dessert bar if the arcade winnings run out before the sweet tooth does. Kids under ten eat free with every paying adult meal, all day, every day, no vouchers needed, which takes the sting out of feeding a family after they have gone through what feels like their body weight in 2p's. Restaurants run on a queue system rather than bookings, so you just turn up and grab a member of staff.
It opens early enough to make a rainy morning plan, 10am on weekdays and half nine at weekends, and stays open late, so this is as good a wet weather fallback as a proper session in its own right. There is no age range given for the arcade itself, but between the accompanied-rider rule and the mix of gentle rides and noisier shooting games, it reads as a place that flexes to whoever you bring along.
