What it’s like

Aerial silks, hoop, straps and pole classes for kids and adults, plus two-hour birthday parties on the equipment.

This is a proper circus school, not a soft play with a few ribbons hanging up. You can drop into a one-hour aerial class for £13.50, try a floor class for £12, or go for open training at £11 if you just want to practise. The list of what's on offer covers aerial silks, pole, hoop, straps, general circus skills, gymnastics and contortion, so there's plenty to work through if one class hooks you.

Membership is where the real commitment (and cost) lives. Tiers run from £48 a month at the Green level right up to £192 for White, and there are class packs too, five classes for £60 or ten for £110 if you'd rather pay as you go without a monthly bill. Booking is required for everything, and you have to pay before you turn up, they're strict on that. Miss a class and don't untick your booking twenty-four hours ahead and the credit's gone, no exceptions, which is a faff if plans change last minute.

Birthday parties are two hours, pick two disciplines, and run for £150, £200 or £250 depending on group size, with a £50 deposit to hold the date. That's a genuinely different kind of party to a bowling alley or soft play, and probably one to save for a kid who's already keen on gymnastics or dance rather than a first birthday punt.

On accessibility, the Piccadilly studio has parking outside and is wheelchair accessible, along with the Pole Room, though the Rainbow Room upstairs isn't. There's a café on site too, useful if you're hanging about waiting for a class to finish rather than driving off and back.

Plan your visit

How much does a class cost?

A one-hour aerial class is £13.50 drop in, floor classes are £12, and open training is £11. Class packs bring the price down if you're going regularly, five classes for £60 or ten for £110.

Do we need to book?

Yes, and you have to pay before you attend. You can book right up to last minute on the booking site or app, but they say classes do fill up.

Can we try a class before joining as a member?

You can book any class as a one-off drop in first. Click the class you want on the booking site and book it as a drop in rather than committing to membership.

What happens if we miss a booked class?

Untick your attendance up to twenty-four hours before the class and you get the credit back. Miss that window and the credit is lost, no exceptions.

Is there a weight or fitness requirement to try aerial?

No, they say people of all shapes and sizes can do aerial arts and it is not a weight conscious studio. An hour in the aerial playground is compared to a full body gym workout.

What's included in a birthday party?

Two hours on the equipment with a choice of two disciplines. Prices are £150, £200 or £250 depending on numbers, with a £50 deposit to book.

Is there parking?

The Piccadilly studio has parking outside.

Is it wheelchair accessible?

The Piccadilly studio and the Pole Room are wheelchair accessible. The Rainbow Room, which is upstairs, is not.

What if we've never done any of this before, do we need dance or gymnastics experience?

That's not something they spell out on their FAQs, but drop in classes are open to try without committing to membership, which is the easiest way to find out.
