What it’s like
Roll up your sleeves in a working bakery and make your own pie from scratch, hot water pastry and all.
You're standing at a bench in an actual working bakery, hands in hot water pastry, being talked through the whole process by a professional baker. This isn't a demo where someone else does the fiddly bits. You're making a pie from raw ingredients and taking it home at the end, which is the sort of thing that sounds simple until you're the one lining a tin with pastry that won't crack.
Sessions run on weekday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, or on Sunday afternoons between 2pm and 4pm, so there's a slot whether you fancy a post-work treat or a weekend outing. It's £40 if you're going solo, or £35 each if you book as a couple, which makes it a decent one for a date or a joint birthday present rather than a solo splurge.
Two hours is enough time to get a proper feel for the pastry and not feel rushed through it. There's no booking link listed here.

A full pie from raw ingredients, including working the hot water pastry by hand, with a professional baker guiding you through it.
