What it’s like

A free playground for a quick outdoor run about, with parking on site so you can just turn up.

There's a playground here and, from what's listed, that's the main event: swings, climbing bits, the usual outdoor play kit for kids to get stuck into. No entry charge either, which makes it an easy call if you've got an hour spare and don't fancy paying for the privilege of your kid going up a slide fifty times.

It's not going to fill an afternoon on its own. If you're picturing a full day out with rides and a café, that's not what this is, it's a park with a playground in it, and you'll want to bring your own snacks and a plan for what comes after. Toilets are on site, which matters more than it sounds when you've got a toddler who suddenly needs to go.

Parking's there too, so you're not hunting for a space on a nearby street with a buggy and a strop brewing. Being outdoors and free, it lives and dies a bit by the weather. On a dry day it's a decent stop-off; on a wet one there's nothing here to hide under.
