What it’s like

Trampolines, a sky coaster and an arcade under one roof, with grip socks compulsory and turning up early non-negotiable.

This is jumping as the main event: a big trampoline park with active play zones bolted on, plus the AirGlider, a sky coaster thing that swings you out on a wire for a few quid extra if the main bouncing isn't enough. There's an arcade too for when small legs need a sit down without actually leaving the building.

Sessions run 60, 90 or 120 minutes and you pick the length when you book. Off-peak is a bit cheaper across the board, £15.95 against £16.95 for the hour, so a quiet Tuesday afternoon saves you a pound or two. Grip socks are compulsory and it has to be AirHop's own, so factor that into the price if you haven't got a pair already knocking about from a previous visit.

You're asked to get there half an hour early for check-in and the safety briefing, and if you miss the briefing you lose your slot, which feels harsh but is clearly the rule. Toddlers get their own cheaper Toddler Takeover session at £11, which is the better bet than putting a one-year-old into a full open jump with everyone bouncing round them. There's a café on site, though you can't bring your own food or drink in, cake for a birthday party being the one exception.

Weekends and holidays sell out, and the site's honest that walk-ins get turned away once that happens, so booking ahead is the sensible move rather than chancing it on a Saturday morning.

Plan your visit

How much does it cost?

An hour's open jump is £15.95 off-peak or £16.95 at peak times. The AirGlider is £4 on its own, or £27.50 combined with a 90 minute jump.

Do we need to book?

Not strictly, but weekends and holidays sell out and walk-ins get turned away once that happens. Booking ahead saves the disappointment.

What age is this for?

They list it from 1 to 99, with a dedicated Toddler Takeover session for the youngest at £11 rather than throwing them in with everyone else.

Is there a toddler-specific session?

Toddler Takeover and Family Takeover sessions are both £11, aimed at the littlest jumpers away from the full-on open jump crowd.

What's the grip sock rule?

You need AirHop branded ones, no exceptions. Bring your own from a past visit or buy a pair there.

How early should we arrive?

Thirty minutes before your slot for check-in and the safety briefing. Miss the briefing and your space is gone, no messing about.

How long are the sessions?

Sixty, ninety or a hundred and twenty minutes, whichever you book. Longer sessions cost more, unsurprisingly.

Is there food there?

Yes, a café on site, but you can't bring in outside food or drink. Cake's allowed if you've booked a birthday party room.

Can you do birthday parties?

Packages start at £14.45 for a Toddler Takeover party up to £34.95 for Jump and Glide, and they include jumping time, the party room, food and drinks.

Is it wheelchair accessible?

The site says access varies by park and to contact them for the Bristol details specifically. Companion tickets are free if you've got disability documentation.

Is there a weight limit?

General admission has a 21.5 stone cap, so worth knowing before you plan a family session with an adult over that.

Is parking free?

Free parking is offered at some locations but the Bristol specifics aren't spelled out, so it's one to check when you book.
