Indian & South Asian in Nottingham

Nottingham does Indian and South Asian food properly, and it's spread right across the city. Kayal in the centre is your best bet for South Indian and Keralan cooking, all dosas and thalis with a properly plant-heavy menu. Out in Mapperley Park, Masala Junction sticks to tandoor grills and slow-cooked curries, but it's evenings only. Head to West Bridgford and you've got choice: Rawsha for charcoal-tandoor fusion and cocktails if you fancy dressing up a bit, or Korma Sutra and Chillis Bridgford for the classic curry-house run. For a family Sunday, Himalayan Inn in Arnold has a buffet with a set price for under-12s, which makes budgeting easy. MemSaab in the centre is a proper evening booking, worth planning ahead for. If you're near Beeston, Yak & Yeti mixes Nepalese momos with Indian curries and has good vegan options. Mansfield's WaterLily is a longer trip out, but it does dine-in, takeaway and delivery if you'd rather eat at home.
