Model Villages & Miniature Railways in Norwich
If your idea of a good afternoon involves a small train and no queue for the car park, Eaton Park has you covered. The Norwich and District Society of Model Engineers run rides on their miniature steam and electric trains round an 800m track in the park, out towards the edge of the city but an easy trip from the centre. It's open to all ages, so toddlers in a buggy and older children who want to know how the engines work are both catered for. It only runs on Sundays, so that's the day to build a plan around, and at from £1 a go it won't dent the day's budget. Card only, so leave the coins at home. There's space to run about between rides, and they do birthday parties if you fancy handing over the cake and candles to someone else for a change.
