Indian & South Asian in Manchester

Manchester does Indian food well, and the centre has it covered without needing the car. Bundobust near Piccadilly does vegetarian Indian street food with high chairs and tables you can book, so a fussy toddler or a big group both get sorted. Dishoom is close by too, with sharing plates of Bombay cafe food and the same need to book ahead if you're going at the weekend. Both are proper sit-down meals rather than quick bites, so they suit an evening out more than a rushed lunch, though high chairs at both mean babies and toddlers aren't a problem. Bundobust's vegetarian menu and dog-friendly room make it the easier choice if anyone in your group doesn't eat meat, or brings the dog along. Dishoom has wheelchair access and wifi if you need to work while you wait. Either way, book ahead, especially for Dishoom on a Saturday night.
