Aquariums & Sea Life in Glasgow
Glasgow itself doesn't have an aquarium, so the trip for this one is out to Loch Lomond Shores in Balloch. SEA LIFE Loch Lomond has sharks, otters and a walk-through tunnel, and tickets start from £14 if you book ahead, which is required. There's a cafe and gift shop on site, parking is easy, and it's fully wheelchair accessible, so buggies and wheelchairs won't struggle. Once you're there, it's worth making a day of it. Loch Lomond Shores itself, just along in Alexandria, has a dino-themed grill, a playpark for younger children to run about in before or after the aquarium, and shoreline views if the weather is kind. There's no free option here and no separate under-5s area inside the aquarium, so plan for the entry price and pace the visit around little legs. Pack for a longer trip out from the city rather than a quick pop-in.
