BEST FOR

Adults only (18+)

An 18+ day-long nature connection and mindfulness workshop in Hoe Wood at Woods Mill, Henfield.

This full-day workshop for adults builds on Nature Connection Part One, taking place in Hoe Wood, a part of Woods Mill Nature Reserve not normally open to the public. It suits both those returning from the earlier course and anyone trying nature connection practices for the first time. The day includes guided solo time outdoors, group discussion and reflection, and a session using Haiku poetry to capture the experience, alongside background on how to apply the practices day to day. Expect to spend time seated on logs around a camp fire and standing for periods in the woods, so warm clothing is essential, and a packed lunch is needed. Fire in the woods, coffee, tea, fruit and biscuits are provided at the start of the day and at lunch. Free parking is available at Woods Mill, with the meeting point across the bridge by the noticeboard near the main car park; accessibility involves around 2km of off-path walking over uneven ground. Participants must be at least 18 to attend. Concession tickets are available for anyone who finds the standard rate out of reach, including senior citizens, students and those currently unemployed, with no proof required, and Sussex Wildlife Trust members receive a discounted price.
