Why Constable Didn't Give Up Figure Painting

A free evening lecture at The Courtauld exploring why John Constable kept returning to figure painting.

This Research Forum lecture looks at John Constable and his work on figure painting, hosted by The Manton Centre for British Art at The Courtauld. It's aimed at adults with an interest in art history rather than families, and takes the form of a talk by a visiting speaker. It's free to attend but booking is essential as places are limited. The lecture runs on the evening of 3 November 2026.
