LEVEL 1: Movers/Beginners Musical Theatre Dance Classes

Weekly beginner-level musical theatre dance class for adults 17+ at the Altrincham Garrick's Annexe.

This is a friendly, slower-paced musical theatre dance class for complete beginners or those returning to dance, aged 17 and over. Rather than focusing on technical detail, the class explores movement and builds confidence, helping dancers develop strength, balance, coordination and choreography retention while dancing to show tunes. Sessions run for one hour and are led by Louise Pettitt, a choreographer and dance lecturer whose credits include Cats, Starlight Express and several Altrincham Garrick productions. Classes are booked and paid for monthly rather than individually, with the number of sessions varying each month. The September to December schedule runs weekly on Tuesdays from 5.15pm to 6.15pm at the Annexe, with a 3-week block costing £30 and a 4-week block costing £40. Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended. Improvers and Intermediate/Advanced classes are also available for those wanting a different level.
