St Paul's Cathedral exhibition telling the 500-year story of William Tyndale's New Testament, with six historic Bibles on display.

This exhibition on the Cathedral Floor tells the story of William Tyndale's New Testament, 500 years after its publication, a small book that was once burned outside St Paul's yet went on to become one of the most sought-after texts in England. The display brings together six historic Bibles, tracing how Tyndale's forbidden translation gave ordinary people the chance to read scripture in English for the first time. There's also an interactive digital display on the Cathedral floor where visitors can explore the pages, illustrations and typography up close, and in the Crypt a short film and hands-on activities continue the story for visitors of all ages. Entry to the exhibition, digital display and Crypt activities is included with general admission tickets, open Monday to Saturday during sightseeing hours. To see the original 500-year-old first edition Tyndale New Testament itself, visitors need to book a Treasures tour in addition to their general admission ticket, which also includes access to the Cathedral Library and Triforium.
