Comedy play at Pavilion Theatre blending the stage show with live unscripted football commentary from ex-players and broadcasters.
Billy & Tim - The Widescreen Edition takes the award-winning Scottish comedy Singin' I'm No a Billy, He's a Tim and adds something new: former footballers and broadcasters sitting at the side of the stage, giving live unscripted commentary, analysis and reactions as the play unfolds. The story follows Rangers fan Billy and Celtic fan Tim, who end up locked in a prison cell together on the day of an Old Firm match, and has to confront the rivalry, humour and prejudice that divides them. The widescreen team includes broadcasters Rob MacLean and David Tanner, along with former players Charlie Miller, Derek Ferguson, Peter Grant, Simon Donnelly, Jackie McNamara and David Robertson, performing alongside the full cast. The show runs 90 minutes and the production promises no two performances are the same, since the commentary is unscripted. It suits anyone with an interest in Scottish football and comedy, whatever side they support, or none at all.
