BEST FOR
Ages 15+
Puccini's dark, dangerous opera Tosca comes to the London Coliseum, recommended for ages 15+.
English National Opera presents a new production of Puccini's Tosca, directed by Olivier Award-winner Annilese Miskimmon. Set in a concert hall in an unnamed European state gripped by civil conflict, the opera follows singer Floria Tosca as she fights for her love, her honour and her life over one tense night, after corrupt police chief Scarpia threatens her and her lover, the painter Cavaradossi. The score includes famous arias such as Vissi d'arte and E lucevan le stelle, sung in English with surtitles. Running time is 2 hours 10 minutes with one interval. Children under 5 are not allowed in the auditorium, and the recommended age guidance is 15+ due to depictions of violence, murder, suicide and torture. There is a British Sign Language performance on Tuesday 10 November 2026 at 19:30, and a Relaxed Performance on Monday 30 November 2026 at 17:00. Tickets start from £25.
