Christmas in the Garden

A light and sound trail through Chatsworth's garden, telling the Twelve Days of Christmas after dark.

This Christmas the garden at Chatsworth is given over to an interactive light and sound trail based on the Twelve Days of Christmas, leading visitors through the Rock Garden, around the Maze, along Bamboo Walk and the Broad Walk before finishing with an animated light show projected onto the South Façade of the house. The trail takes around 45 to 60 minutes to complete and is best viewed from dusk, with the chance to stop for refreshments along the way. It includes some flashing light sequences, and staff on arrival can point out where these are for anyone who'd rather avoid them. Entry to the garden trail is included with a Christmas at Chatsworth ticket, which also covers the decorated house and the farmyard and playground. Visiting between 7 November and 13 December also gives access to the Christmas market. Last entry to the garden is 90 minutes before the stated closing time, and all tickets must be booked in advance.
