Large-scale WWII textile art exhibition, including an 80-metre installation, at Astley Hall's Coach House Gallery.

The Longest Yarn is a global community of makers who commemorate key moments of the Second World War through large-scale, hand-crafted textile installations. This exhibition at the Coach House Gallery features "Britain at War", an 80-metre installation exploring how ordinary people coped with wartime hardship and change, alongside life-sized "Army of Duty Calls" figures honouring those who served at home and on the front lines. It's a paid ticketed event, open Wednesdays to Sundays, 10am to 4pm, running from 14 November to 2 December 2026. Note it's closed on 16, 17, 23, 24 and 30 November and 1 December. Ticket prices and booking details are yet to be confirmed by the venue.
