Halloween-themed half-term activities at the Army Flying Museum, including crafts, trails and a creature encounter.
The Army Flying Museum in Middle Wallop lays on a week of Halloween-themed fun for October half term, included with general admission. Every weekday from 10am to 12.30pm there are Halloween craft activities, plus a new code-breaking trail where visitors help Royal Flying Corps pilots solve a Mummy's curse mystery by spotting hidden snakes around the museum, and the popular Bat Hunt where you collect a certificate for finding bats around the site. A few extra sessions run on specific days: a Model Making & Painting Session with Models for Heroes runs 10am to 3pm on Monday 26th October and Sunday 1st November, free to take part with donations welcome, where you can make and paint a model to take home. Meccano at the Museum runs 10am to 3pm on Wednesday 28th October for building your own Meccano model, and Crazy Creatures runs 10am to 2pm on Thursday 29th October, a chance to meet reptiles, amphibians and insects up close. General admission includes a free annual pass for return visits, and annual pass holders are asked to pre-book a session as the museum operates capacity limits during the busy half-term week.
