Science & Discovery Centres in Stoke-on-Trent
If you want a proper science day out from Stoke-on-Trent, it's a drive out to Macclesfield for Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre. That giant radio telescope dominates the fields long before you park up, and inside there's the Space Dome for planetarium style films, plus trails around the site to see the dish up close. There's free parking, which helps if you've already spent on tickets, and a cafe and picnic area for when everyone needs a break. The trails are outdoor and best with wellies on a wet day. It's wheelchair accessible throughout, and school visits and group bookings are catered for if you're planning something bigger than a family trip. Being the only one in this category here, it's the one to build the day around.
