Roller & Skate Rinks in Reading

There isn't a rink in Reading itself, so for skating you're looking at a longer trip out to Oxford. Oxford Ice Rink has public sessions running all week, and if you've got a wobbly beginner they do penguin aids to hold onto, which makes the first few laps much less of a white-knuckle affair. There's a cafe on site too, so you're not skating on an empty stomach or trying to dry off in the car. With just the one option in range, the choice is really about when to go rather than where. Toddlers and nervous first-timers will want a quieter public session and a penguin to lean on, while older kids can just get stuck into open skating. It's indoor, so weather is never a factor, and toilets are on site. Ring ahead if you want to check session times before you make the drive.
