Homework & After-School Clubs in Reading
If you're after a proper homework or after-school club in Reading, the listings here are slim right now. What you'll find is Emmer Green Youth & Community Centre, a term-time pre-school rather than a school-age club, taking children aged 2 to 5 with play-based learning both indoors and outside, plus help getting ready for the move into school. It's about a few minutes out from the centre, so easy enough to reach on a normal school run. It's really only useful if your child is younger, in that 2 to 5 age bracket, since there's nothing here yet for older kids needing somewhere to go after school. Outdoor play is part of the offer, so worth asking how much time is spent outside versus in. For anything beyond pre-school age, you'll want to look further afield for now.
