Wogan Coffee Roastery Shop & Brew Bar
WHERE
Bristol
What it’s like
A proper coffee roastery where you can do a tasting flight or a cupping session while the kids tuck into cake and focaccia.
This one's for the parents as much as the kids, if you're being honest. It's a roastery with a brew bar attached, so you can work through coffee flights or book onto a cupping session while someone at the table works through a cheesecake or a sausage roll. The coffee's brewed a few different ways, aeropress and V60 among them, which gives you something to talk about if your kid's the sort who asks why the coffee tastes different every time.
There's no play equipment here and no board games mentioned, so don't expect it to fill an afternoon the way a soft play would. It's more a stop on the way somewhere, or a slow Saturday morning thing, with high chairs in for the smaller ones and indoor seating if the weather's against you. The food list is decent for a café: croissants, focaccia sandwiches, cakes, and a seasonal coffee-infused soft-serve that's an easy win with kids even if the coffee flights aren't for them.
Dogs are allowed in on a short lead and tucked under the table. Hours are tight though, shut by 4.30pm on weekdays and 4pm on Fridays, so this isn't an after-school treat unless you're quick off the mark.
