What it’s like
Pick from over 400 board games or grab a table tennis bat, with pay-by-the-hour sessions that start free.
The whole point of the place is choice. Over 400 board games lined up to pick from, plus table tennis if you fancy something less fiddly with a six-year-old's attention span. The first hour is free if you just walk in, which is a nice way to test whether your crew can actually sit still for a game of something before you commit any money.
After that it's £4 for two hours or £5.50 for three, which is about the price of a couple of coffees for what could easily eat an entire wet Saturday afternoon. Saturday's the only day it opens at lunchtime, from 1pm, so that's your best bet if you want a proper session rather than squeezing games in after 6pm on a school night. Sunday closes earlier too, at 9pm, so don't plan on an epic Catan marathon that day.
Booking's required, which is a bit of a faff if you're the sort who decides at 4pm that board games sound like a plan, but it does mean you're not turning up to find every table taken. There are party rooms too if you're after something a bit different for a birthday, away from the usual soft play formula.
It's an indoor one through and through, so it's a solid pick when the weather's grim outside and you need somewhere with tables, chairs and something to do that isn't a screen.

How much does it cost?
The first hour is free if you walk in. After that it's £4 for two hours or £5.50 for three.
Do we need to book?
Yes, booking is required. There's no online booking link listed, so you'd need to sort that another way.
What time does it open?
Tuesday to Thursday it's 6pm to 10.30pm, Friday 6pm to 11pm. Saturday's the only day with a lunchtime start, 1pm to 11pm, and Sunday runs 2pm to 9pm.
What is there to actually do?
Pick from over 400 board games or play table tennis. That's the whole offer, and it's plenty to fill an afternoon.
Can we book a birthday party there?
There are party rooms on site, so it works as a party venue away from the usual options.
