What it’s like

An 18+ tasting experience in Belfast where cocktails are matched to sensory science or to the city's own stories.

This is an adults-only night out, not a family activity. Two separate experiences run here: Sensorium, where you work through drinks paired with sensory experiments to see how taste actually plays tricks on you, and Belfast by the Glass, which walks you through six chapters of the city's story, each one matched to its own drink.

Sensorium runs about two and a half hours, Belfast by the Glass a bit shorter at two, split into those six chapters. That's a proper chunk of an evening, so it's not something you squeeze in before another plan. Sensorium is £42.50 a head and Belfast by the Glass is £47, both prices that put this firmly in the treat-yourself category rather than a casual Tuesday drink.

Booking is required, and they're strict about timing: turn up late and you start without the intro, same as walking into a film after the trailers. If alcohol's not your thing, there's an alcohol-free version of the drinks and they're clear it doesn't change the sensory side of the experience.

Worth knowing before you commit: cancellations get sliding refunds depending on how close to the date you cancel. Changing the date is easier, you can shift it twice yourself online up to 72 hours out.
