What it’s like
An adults' studio for aerial yoga cocoons, gong soundbaths and Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Hatha classes.
This is a studio for grown-ups looking to slow down or hang upside down, depending on the day. The aerial yoga classes use suspended cocoons if you fancy something a bit different from a mat, and there's a full spread of more traditional styles too, from Ashtanga to Vinyasa to Hatha, so beginners and regulars both have somewhere to start.
If bending yourself into shapes isn't the plan, the soundbath sessions are the other draw here, with gongs, crystal bowls and chimes for something closer to lying down and switching off. The site is honest that leggings or joggers, a t-shirt, a jumper and cosy socks are the right kit for these, since you'll be still for a while and the studio isn't the place to be underdressed for comfort.
They're clearly used to first-timers. Their own line for anyone who's never done yoga before is that they'll "be extra nice to you", which is a nice way of saying you won't be the only nervous one in the room. Booking is done through their timetable online rather than turning up on spec.
Parking is straightforward for classes, free on the street outside, though if you've booked a massage instead the therapist lets you into the secure car park round the back. There are toilets on site. Massage clients are professionally draped throughout, with only the area being worked on exposed, and lower underwear stays on regardless of what's booked.

Do I need to book?
Yes, classes are booked through their online timetable rather than dropping in.
Is this suitable if I've never done yoga before?
The site says they'll be extra nice to you as a beginner. Have a look at the timetable and book whichever class fits.
What should I wear?
For a soundbath, leggings or joggers with a t-shirt, jumper and cosy socks are what they recommend, since you'll be lying still. For a massage, you're professionally draped throughout and only remove the clothing needed for the area being treated.
