What it’s like
An 18+ hostel and pub with live music and DJs three nights a week, not a venue for kids.
This one's not for the kids. It's a pub and hostel with a licensed bar, and they're clear on the site that under-18s aren't accepted as guests, full stop. So if you're after a family day out in Bristol, this isn't it.
What's actually on offer is live music and DJs on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, plus a Funk & Soul Jam session on Thursdays. That's a proper late one too, with music going until 2am on those nights, which tells you the crowd they're aiming for.
If you're travelling as an adult group without children, there's a few practical things worth knowing. It's card only, no cash accepted anywhere on site, and there's a £20 refundable deposit taken on arrival. Group bookings are capped at 5 or 6 people depending on the time of year, and they specifically don't take stag, hen, sports or university party groups, which rules out a fair few nights out.
Parking's a faff too. There's nothing on site, so you're looking at a multi-storey nearby or a 10 to 15 minute walk to find free street parking. Check-in's from 3pm with 24-hour reception, and check-out's by 11am, with luggage drop available from midday if you arrive early.
