What it’s like

A holiday park activities centre with a heated pool and slide, Dino Karts, Segways and crazy golf, plus arcade and bingo nights.

The heated indoor pool with its water slide is the obvious one to head for first, and there's an aqua run alongside it for when the slide queue gets long. Beyond the pool there's a proper spread of stuff to fill a day: soft play and a climbing wall for the smaller ones, Dino Karts and a Segway adventure for anyone who fancies themselves as a driver, and crazy golf if you just want a wander outside.

The crafty bits are worth knowing about too. Pottery painting, wax hands, sand art, bead art and slime time all get a mention, which is handy for a rainy afternoon or just a change of pace from the pool. In the evenings there's cabaret singers, comedians, and Link-up Bingo with prizes up to £20,000, which is more than you'd expect from a holiday park hall.

Swimming needs booking in advance when you arrive rather than beforehand online, so make that your first stop when you get there rather than an afterthought. Some of the activities only run at peak times or come with an extra charge on top, and the whole activities centre only operates March to October, so a winter break here looks a lot quieter than a summer one. Food-wise there's a restaurant and bar open all year with shorter hours in November to February, a kids' menu, and food trucks turning up when the weather's warmer. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor areas if you're bringing one along.
