What it’s like

Neapolitan pizza with a kids menu, gluten-free bases and gelato by the scoop, no booking needed if you fancy walking in.

This is Neapolitan pizza cooked properly, soft in the middle with a bit of char round the edge. Worth knowing before you order: they won't do it crispy or well done, the dough just doesn't work that way, so if your kids are used to a crunchier base elsewhere it might not land the same. There's a kids menu alongside the regular one, and a pizza masterclass listed too, which sounds like the sort of thing that'll buy you a bit of peace while it's happening.

Gluten-free dough is available if that's an issue for your table, though they're upfront that it's still cooked in the same oven as everything else, so it's not a safe option if anyone's coeliac. Vegan options are on the menu as well, and you can swap out ingredients you don't fancy, though they'd rather you kept it close to the original recipe. Halal options are listed too.

Gelato's the easy win at the end, £3 for one scoop up to £7 for three, which is a fair way to bribe a reluctant eater through their main course. There's outdoor seating if the weather's playing along.

Opening hours stretch later as the week goes on, midnight-ish territory on Fridays and Saturdays with a 23:00 close, but it's an earlier 21:00 finish Sunday to Wednesday. Walk-ins are welcome, and you can book ahead if you'd rather not risk a wait. If you're planning a birthday, there's a private hire space called The Dramattic, and for bigger groups of eight or more there's a set feasting menu at £25 a head.
