What it’s like

Crack the clues on a two-mile treasure hunt from Old Market Square out to the Arboretum and back.

Buy the trail once and set off when it suits you - download, print at home, or wait for the posted booklet. One pack covers about four or five people, and it is pitched for ages 6-106.

The circular route runs roughly 2.2 miles and takes two hours or more, looping via the Royal Centre and city streets out to the Arboretum before heading back. Pushchairs and wheelchairs are believed suitable; dogs are welcome with a few restrictions.

Leave enough daylight for the Arboretum section - it closes at dusk. City parking is pricey, so Park and Ride is the usual tip. Phone support runs Mon-Fri 09:00-17:00.
