What it’s like

Golf and racing simulators, VR and interactive darts under one roof, open till 8pm for kids and later for the grown-ups.

This is a simulator and gaming venue rather than a soft play, so it suits kids who fancy having a go on a golf simulator, racing rig or the VR room rather than climbing frames. There's also console gaming, interactive darts and table tennis, which is a decent spread for a mixed group where not everyone wants to do the same thing for two hours straight.

The age line is worth knowing before you turn up: activities start from 7, and anyone under that isn't really catered for here. It's also open to all ages only until 8pm, after which it shifts to a later, adults crowd on Saturdays especially, when doors stay open until midnight. Sunday's the calmer option if you want a daytime session without a curfew hanging over you.

Walk-ins are fine, though they're upfront that booking ahead saves you from turning up and finding the simulators taken, especially at a weekend. Birthday parties can be arranged around the games and food, with private hire also going for bigger celebrations.

It sits inside Apcoa Parking at King William House, a few minutes' walk from Hull city centre, with Lowgate and Princes Quay car parks as backups if that one's full. Handy too if you're already down by the Marina or The Deep and fancy finishing the day somewhere indoors.
