What it’s like
A proper sports massage for aches, old injuries or a physical job, with under-18s welcome if a parent stays in the room.
This is a treatment, not a spa pamper. You go in with a specific problem, a knee that's been aching for no obvious reason, feet that hurt after a shift on them, or the sort of stiffness that comes from a physical job or too much sport, and you get an hour that includes a consultation and assessment as well as the massage itself, plus some advice and exercises to take away.
An hour is £45, and if you know you'll need more than one session there's a package of four for £165, which works out cheaper if you're treating something ongoing rather than a one-off niggle. Worth knowing before you book in: sports massage is often not gentle. They're upfront that it's mostly painful rather than relaxing, and they won't work on open sores, rashes, bruises or anything contagious, so this isn't the massage to book if you just fancy a soft, sleepy hour.
Any age can be treated here, including children, but under-18s need a parent or guardian in the treatment area with them the whole time. It's an odd one to picture with a child in the room, but if your teenager's picked up a sports injury and needs proper hands-on treatment rather than just rest, that's what this is for. The oldest client they mention so far is 84, so there's clearly no upper age cut-off either.
Because the effects on blood flow can last up to 48 hours, this isn't something to squeeze in right before you need to be sharp or active. Plan the massage for a day you can take it easy afterwards, and don't book it the morning of a match or a big shift on your feet.
