Pantomime & Family Theatre in Hull
Hull's not exactly bursting with panto stages, but Park Street Performing Arts Centre keeps the family theatre spirit going. It's just out from the centre, and rather than staging one big Christmas show, it runs weekly classes in musical theatre, drama, singing and dance that build towards proper stage productions your child can actually be part of. If your kids fancy watching rather than performing, this isn't that kind of venue, so think of it more as a route into theatre than an afternoon out. It suits children keen to try something new term after term rather than a one-off treat, and it also does birthday parties, so it's worth a look if your child loves being on stage as much as watching one.
